Mobile Learning Definitions Today
It used to be that when one spoke of the concept of “mobile learning” it was just a reference to laptop computers and mobile carts moving around to different classrooms. But these days, it seems most students can provide themselves with their very own mobile education tools from tablets to smart phones, laptops and wireless connectivity. Therefore, education technology today is seeing quite a large shift as mobile technologies become more accessible to the majority. Indeed, statistics from 2010 showed that almost half of all middle and high school students had some kind of smart phone (which is an almost 50 percent increase from the year before). There are almost five billion wireless subscribers today too. So for those wanting to take the online education route, it is becoming increasingly easier all the time.
